WELCOME to you all at INSO blog. This blog is dedicated to Panjab University, Chandigarh & its affiliated colleges units of INSO. Blog will be a regular interaction forum aimed at announcing its policies & future programmes. It will also act as a feedback mechanism for INSO, wherein students can send their views.
Indian National Students Organisation (INSO) was formed on August 5, 2003 in Delhi University. Later, INSO was launched in Chandigarh, Haryana and Rajasthan also. INSO candidates have been elected in PU and its affiliated college’s students unions over the last four academic sessions.
Why INSO was formed-
Students are one of the most significant pillars of any democracy. Apart from being a potent force for change in socio political order, their varied perspectives and ideological thoughts makes any democracy dynamic and vibrant. A student gets his or her first hand exposure to democracy by means of Students Union elections. Their different ideologies and beliefs find expression by way of representation through Students Unions and their Leaders, for they are there to truly represent students. The role of Students Union of colleges and universities in mobilizing public opinion has been important in all spheres of life, whether it is politics, society, or economy of the country.
Vision
Our Vision is to increase the participation of students in healthy politics and to bridge the gap between politics for power and politics for purpose.
Mission and Philosophy
INSO understands that the enlightened students community of PU looks upon INSO as an alternative to the traditional ‘Dadagiri politics”. Various so called organizations have been conspicuous by a lack of imagination on student welfare issues. We believe in doing concrete work for students’ welfare and not for Votes. Our aim is to support and enhance the educational, social and cultural environment of students in Panjab University. Therefore, INSO is relentlessly involved in incredible efforts to solve the problems of students and work towards making PU a place for complete development of a student.
INSO was formed to become a positive mean to attain the huge potential of students। But that is not possible, without the more active participation from students। With the Blessings of students community, INSO has been successful in bringing a constructive change in the politics of PU and other universities। But, we have no unease in accepting that we are still far short of our ultimate goal to make PU as the National Leader for its educational, social, sports & cultural environment in the country.
INSO call upon all the forward looking students to join it so as we may realize our goal !!!!!

Welcome to all, who will be sharing their views here at INSO blog spot. I wish the motive of this Endeavour is fulfilled i.e. of bringing progressive thoughts together at one place and realistic implementation of what is being discussed here, by making it reach to those who rule this motherland of ours…let we the youth of India be the light of India. So With a good conscience our only sure reward, with history the final judge of our deeds, let us go forth to work for the land we love, asking Her blessing and Her help, but knowing that here on earth God's work must truly be our own.
So it is the promise of INDIAN NATIONAL STUDENT ORGANISATION that every word will be worth discussed here and every word will be religiously kept and as the slogan goes “YOU WILL NEVER WALK ALONE” its not just a slogan rather it’s the paradigm that is kept in mind when INSO works….
