Chandigarh, September 9: INSO-SOI presidential candidate, Sukhdev has called upon the students to vote on the performance of the candidates & students organisation rather than empty poll promises or other petty issues like region, caste, religion.

Sukhdev Kundu asked the students to assess the claims of students’ organisation by seeking corroborative material in their favour. He said that it is really sad that one other organisation was claiming Group Insurance Scheme as their achievement where as they never took up that issue with authorities.

Sukhdev Kundu said that INSO has achieved many landmark achievements despite the non-cooperative attitude by PU authorities. INSO managed to stalk 10 % annual fee increase by PU authorities. He challenged his opponents to prove even a single achievement fake out of its listed 19 achievements.

Sukhdev said that free distribution of Admission Information Booklet by INSO was another major achievement. INSO had got 30,000 such handbook printed and distributed them free for which PU used to charge Rs 400, he reminded. Fee structure rationalisation was another INSO contribution. Earlier the different colleges charged different fee structures, he added. He said that INSO has also given eleven of its demands being in pipe line of implementation by PU or Chandigarh Administration like Implementation of Group Insurance Policy for P.U. students.
INSO has documentary proofs to prove its claim of its achievements and matters being implemented, he further added.

INSO-SOI presidential candidate Sukhdev Kundu, vice president Deepikaa Gupta, secretary candidate Parambir Singh (Sunny) filed their nomination papers today. INSO-SOI candidates campaigned in three groups and covered UIET, BDS, Pharmacy, UBS, Law, Sciences departments today.
