INSO constitutes candidate selection committee

Chandigarh, September 3: Indian National Students Organisation's (INSO) has constituted a three member candidate selection committee to select its cadidates in oncoming students council elections.

PU campus Chairman, Sukhdev Kundu disclosed that committee would comprise of INSO General Secretary, Sunil Kumar, PU INSO president, Deepak Hooda and INSO senior vice president, Neeraj Malik. The selection committee would finalise the INSO candidates for different posts in PU and its affiliated colleges. He said that INSO has always believed in democracy and the selection would be done in a democratic way. All the INSO members interested in contesting elections can submit their names before the panel, he added.

In the another meeting held at sector 17 office of ASP, Mr Madhur Verma , INSO state president, Vikas Rathee said that notice boards erected last year on the INSO demand has yet not been allocated to different students organisation and they can become a cause of student conflict, so PU authorities should recognise the students organisation on their past performance and distribute the boards among them. The demand was agreed in the meeting.
