All the lists of new admissions in hostels should be available at all the hostels and on PU website along with the percentage of the students. PU hostel policy should also be available on PU website, so that there is more transparency in hostel admissions. As per the fundamental ‘Right of Equality’ embedded in our constitution, there should not be any discretion or favouritism on such vital issues.
21. Division of the hostel fees as well as hostel admission fees among those students, being forced to share rooms against their wishes or entitlement. If there is crunch of hostel accommodation/seats, then PU has no right to earn over their adversities. All other hostel funds should also be divided among the students as they are using the facility meant for one student, he further added.
22. INSO demands to the revaluation system of the PU. The system has some inherent faults. Students are being made to pay, which are most of the time is fault of the examiner. PU Administration should refund the revaluation charges of student, whose marks get increased as it was not his fault that he was given lesser marks by the first examiner. Charges (if any are to be paid) should be paid by the first examiner, who gave lesser marks.
23. PU Administration should allow improvement in papers to students of all the departments. Currently this opportunity is not available for the students of certain departments like UIET and Chemical Engineering. In this competitive age, one should be given opportunity to improve his score. Some time, a student gets ill & is not able to score as per his potential, so opportunity to improve is must. The opportunity to improve should be available to all students after passing the concerned examination irrespective of completion of degrees.
