Chandigarh, August 26: 65 students donated blood at the blood donation camp organized today at Panjab University students centre. The blood donation camp was jointly organised by Indian National Students Organisation (INSO) & Lions & Lioness Club Panchkula.
District Blood Donation president, Lion Club, Mr S.S. Bhamra inaugurated the blood donation camp. Addressing the students on the occasion, Mr Bhamra appreciated the noble cause of contribution of blood towards saving life.
INSO PU campus president Deepika Thakur said that students and youth have great power & energy. They just need positive direction and constructive leadership & INSO is trying to provide an encouraging & affirmative leadership to them. She thanked the donors for their contribution and commitment to work for others.
INSO is the only organisation which is working on social causes like tree plantation, blood donation etc, she said.
Lion S.M. Monga, INSO leader Sukhdev Kundu, INSO PU campus chairman Deepak Hooda, INSO Chandigarh state president Sunil Kumar, former PUCSC General Secretary Mr Sunny Bhardwaj, INSO working president Sudhir Mehra, Mr Virender Boora, Mr Tapan Wadhwa, ex president, students council evening department Mr Avish Sharma and other INSO students’ leaders were also present on the occasion.
